The flicker flame bulbs do not work well in this three-candle setup. The electric eye in the center candle does not allow the electricity to flow well enough to light the flicker flame bulbs up fully. I had to place a solid, 4 watt, amber night light bulb in the center to light up the 2 side flicker flame bulbs. These three-candle lights work well for the December holidays, but not for Halloween. Aside from the flicker flame problem, it worked well with the 7 and 4 watt colored bulbs. No need for timers.
