I was expecting something more than this. I was disappointed in the Buddha faces and also the quality of the product. I think the reviewer who says they are heavy got a different product because mine were floppy and lightweight. The only thing they can hold are envelopes, and that doesn’t help me much with organization. I tried to send them back, but there was a restocking fee plus shipping costs, making the only benefit getting them out of my house.

First off, the photo is a bit deceiving, these are -not- bookends. They are two rubber Buddhas glued to a black board where you can stuff a few papers between their bellies. The rubber quality to the Buddhas will allow you to put more stuff between them but it makes them feel cheap.

I was disappointed in this product after reading others reviews

I should have read the reviews before I purchased this product. I too was deceived into believing it could be used as a bookend… not only because the picture made it look like its made of two distinct parts but also because it came up as a top result for my “buddha bookends” search. This product was a lot smaller, much lighter (its made of hollow rubber) and generally much cheaper looking then I expected. The figure’s features seemed smudged and indistinct. I was very disappointed and returned it right away. Honestly I don’t think I would even pay $4.99 for it but at least that definitively would be a more appropriate price for this item.

This will be a gift, but she’s had it on her wish list for ages, don’t you just love the amazon wish list? She will adore them, they are heavy and made well.

Obviously there’s something wrong here since I ordered it over 2 months ago and it still hasn’t arrived. Can’t review it because I haven’t even seen it. And I’ve already written to the company to see what happened.
